Founded in Bremen, Germany in 1996, wpd Group is part of the wind industry since the very beginning.

For more than two decades, wpd has been playing a determining role in shaping the ongoing development of the environmentally friendly and cost efficient use of wind energy on land.

 

Nowadays, wpd develops, builds, operates and provides maintenance services for onshore wind, and solar projects globally. The company operates in 28 countries in Europe, Asia, North and South America. To date, wpd has globally realized around 2,520 wind turbines with an output of 5,620 MW.

 

We support projects for their whole duration, from the first idea to dismantling or possible repowering. We lease space, design the wind or solar parks in accordance with their individual requirements, take care of the permissions, structure the finance, secure the best terms for purchasing the technical equipment and guarantee that the project will run smoothly-

In 2020, wpd has established its local subsidiary wpd Vietnam LLC in Ho Chi Minh City.
